SUMMARY:WV Department Winter Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:All members are asked to attend and participate in the 2026 Winter Conference for the WV Department of the Marine Corps League\, being held here in Morgantown. Note from Commandant Heubi on the details below \nI wanted to drop a quick line to remind everyone of the Department Conference this Saturday\, January 10th. The meeting will start promptly at 1000 at our normal meeting place of the Senior Center behind the old Mountaineer Mall.  I suggest arriving 30 minutes ahead of the meeting. This is a great opportunity to meet a few more members from across the state and see our state officials at work. I am strongly encouraging the entire Detachment attend if you are physically able. The uniform of the day will be red League cover and red polo if you have one. Again\, I want to remind the new members that the uniform is not required to attend. If you have them\, wear them\, if not\, come as you are. Your presence is way more important than the uniform. Let’s share some comradery and break bread together. We will have light refreshments in the morning and lunch when the meeting is over around 1200.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at the January 2026 Monthly meeting\, this month being held at the American Legion Post 174 in Dellslow. \nNOTE – THIS MONTH’S MEETING TIME AND LOCATION IS CHANGED TO the American Legion Post 174\, and starts promptly at 1800! \nBelow is the message from our Commandant Joe Heubi concerning the meeting. \nWe need every single detachment member to attend. We will be presenting some recognition that night and taking a detachment picture. Again\, if you have a cover and a polo\, please plan to wear it. If not\, it’s ok. Your presence at the meeting is most important. We have several new members that have not had time to get those uniform items. If you were elected last month or have been asked to take a staff office\, please wear your red blazer\, black tie\, black trousers\, and your league cover. We will be honored to be sworn in by the\nMid-East Jr. Vice- Commandant\, Scott Kirby\,  at the meeting. The plan is for your Commandant to keep his comments brief so we can grab something to eat after our meeting at the American Legion.\nWe always welcome guests to participate and learn more about the Marine Corps League and the work we do in our community to serve our Marines and all veterans!
